The parcel was intercepted by an Australian Border force officer in Sydney and it was forwarded to the Australian Federal Police.
The MDMA was swapped for an identical salt by Australian Federal Police and a controlled delivery was arranged.
The parcel was addressed to Shea Hasting at Upper York Street in Launceston, but it was redirected by Della Valle to a Riverside house.
THE TRIAL
A search warrant was executed on the house where the two men lived after Gibbling signed for the parcel.
Another two bags of MDMA were found in the house during the search.
Della Valle, 29, and Gibbling, 35, were also found guilty of trafficking a marketable quantity of a controlled drug in relation to the additional quantities of MDMA found during the search.
The maximum penalty for trafficking a marketable quantity of a controlled drug is 25 years' jail.
In his sentencing submissions, Commonwealth Prosecutor Garth Stevens told Justice Brian Martin a stern punishment was warranted.
Lawyer Evan Hughes told the court his client, Della Valle, faced the same charge as those involved in attempting to import $60 million of cocaine in a Chinese vessel in 2016.
Mr Hughes told Justice Martin the worst case was a far cry from what he had before him.
Both men were remanded to reappear for sentencing on Tuesday.
