Eleven girls from across four grades will participate in the teams-based competition in Cairns on December 10.
The competition requires athletes to try and score as many points as possible in a school-versus-school format, featuring a mixture of traditional and new track and field events.
Latrobe will be looking to improve on last year’s 13th position.
The team includes: Emily Smith, Ruby Nightingale, Aaliah Dennison, Katie Ryan, Piper Catlin, Asha Lamprey, Tess Horton, Briealee Connelly, Briar Parker, Courtney Bieman and team captain, Ashtyn Dennison.
Horton will be one to watch having won a silver medal in the under-16 100m final at this year’s Tasmanian all-schools championships.
Horton will also be representing Athletics Tasmania at the 2018 Australian all-schools athletics championships earlier that week.
