The incident took place in Deloraine in 2010.
Mr Parovel, who was 24 at the time, said he was thrown from a car driven by an intoxicated friend.
“He decided to be stupid on the roads,” Mr Parovel said.
“[I] woke up a couple of weeks later missing a spleen a kidney, [it] broke my neck, exploded my pelvis.”
He also received an acquired brain injury from the incident.
The Rotary Youth Driver Awareness program educates year 10 students from across Tasmania on the importance of driver awareness.
Students are educated on the importance of not only being a safe driver, but being aware of their safety as a passenger.
Mr Parovel said that even if one student learned something from his experience, it would be worth it.
“Just be very conscious of the road and road laws,” Mr Parovel said.
