TFS Chief Officer, Chris Arnol, said conditions remain very dry in some parts and with six weeks of summer remaining, it is likely there will be further days of high fire danger and total fire bans where necessary.
As of Saturday, the TFS were patrolling vegetation fires at Margate, Mornington and Jericho in the state’s South and Carrick and Campbell Town in the North.
A total fire ban in the state’s South, North and parts of the North West was lifted at midnight, Friday following two days of extreme weather conditions.
