Held at the Launceston Showgrounds, the event will showcase a collection of trucks, trailer, motorbikes, motorhomes and cars dating from as far back as 1916 and as recently as 2016.
The show will also include a freestyle motorbike display featuring Launceston-born motocross star Jay Woolley, who recently performed with Nitro Circus.
Director Graeme Page said utilising the Launceston Showground space was key to keeping the Launceston Show in operation.
“(The Launceston Show) is an iconic event that's been going for 144 years and quite frankly it's very much at risk of being lost,” Mr Page said.
“A survey in Launceston showed 93 per cent of people said we shouldn't lose the show and the fact is that if we don't run more functions and get more support we're going to lose it.
“This show is about having more events at the showground so that by better utilisation we can meet the increasing costs.”
The show opens at 9.30am and will run until mid-afternoon.
Entry is $10 for adults and free for children under 16 who are accompanied by an adult.
