Old Launcestonians won a cracker to secure their first victory of the season.
OLs came from two points down at three-quarter time to take a 8.15 (63) to 8.5 (53) win against Evandale.
The home side got a scare in the third term after marching to a 20-point lead at half-time.
The Eagles kicked five goals and two behinds to steal the lead at the final change.
OLs managed to steady the ship in a tight final term, scoring 1.7 to the Eagles' one behind.
Lochie Hanson, George McAdam, Charles Fry, Danny Hall, Luke Johnston and Thomas Chugg were Old Launcestonians' best.
Chugg booted three goals, as did Field Reeves. Patrick Power chipped in with two.
Jak Hadley, Geoff Stick, Aidan Bullman, Sebastian Woof, Beau Calow and Hayden Tyson put in solid performances for the Eagles.
Evandale had eight individual goal-kickers, including Bullman, Stick, Tyson and Hadley.
Top-ranked St Pats had a day out at home, scoring a 27.16 (178) to 0.6 (6) triumph over Meander Valley at John Cunningham Memorial Oval.
The Saints were dominant throughout with eight goals in the second quarter and seven in the final stanza.
Jake King bagged seven goals and now has 20 for the year.
Josh Bellchambers took his season tally to nine, with six goals on Saturday.
Jakob Laskey, a former South Launceston player, Callum Harrison and Ethan Conway collected three majors each.
Laskey and Harrison got in the best for their efforts and so did Patrick Rodman, King, Bellchambers and Jake Kilby (two goals).
Aaron Saltmarsh, Dylan Bakes, Ben de Bomford, Anthony Johnson, Kyran McMahon and recruit Hamish Preece were the Suns' better players.
Old Scotch accounted for Perth 19.14 (128) to 6.4 (40) at NTCA ground.
The Thistles got the jump on the Magpies with a six-goal to one first quarter.
The game evened up in the second term with the Magpies kicking three goals but the Thistles surged further ahead in the second-half.
Connor Bryant was Old Scotch's leading goal-scorer with four and featured in the best.
Ricky Evans and Charlie Eastoe got three majors each while Josh Mathews kicked truly twice.
Eastoe was recognised as best player for his efforts while Aiden Jackman, James de Boer, John McKenzie and Nicholas Miller were also in the mix.
Ali Jammas, Will Haley, Jake Smith, Zak Kerrison and Jesthony Ziemkiewicz were handy for the Magpies.
Jammas and Kerrison kicked a goal each.
East Coast continued their commanding start to the year with a 22.25 (157) to 1.1 (7) win against UTAS at St Helens Recreation Reserve.
The Swans slammed on 11 goals in the first-half while the Lions struggled to score.
Chris Novy was best-on for the winners with Corey Bosworth, Will Stoltenberg, Hamish Tate, Wade Garth, and Toby Omenihu also contributing well.
Stoltenberg bagged six majors, Novy snagged three and Brad Goodyer and Michael Murfet found the middle of the big sticks three times each.
Tim Reynolds, Taj Allen, Will Geysing, Dan McHugh, Liam Guardia and Wyatt Wagner-Garwood battled hard for the Lions. Lockwood Duncombe kicked their goal.
Lilydale had the bye and will return to the park on Saturday to face Evandale at home.
St Pats hosts East Coast, UTAS and Old Launcestonians meet and Meander Valley and Old Scotch go to battle. Perth has the bye.
