The Northern region's two Tasmanian State League sides competed for the Phil Edwards Cup, with the total goals from their under-18s, development league and seniors matches added together for the winner.
After a tight start in the first two matches, Launceston's comfortable seniors win saw the cup retained by the Blues - 28 goals to 13.
Presenting the cup to the victors, Edwards' daughter, Jess, expressed her family's pride in the event's fourth year.
"It's really special to us and we are really grateful to both of the clubs for today and what they do," Miss Edwards said.
"I think he'd be happy that the clubs are keeping something in memory of him but he didn't really like a fuss though."
Coming from a teaching background, Edwards worked for The Examiner for 15 years before his sudden death in 2017
