In a career that has spanned from Sydney to Perth to Newcastle (twice) to Western Sydney Wanderers and now Western United, the journeyman central defender is well-versed in what cuts the mustard in Australian soccer.
UTAS Stadium is set to be the scene of a frantic few days of football when the Victorian side returns to Launceston this week for fixtures against Perth Glory and Macarthur FC.
As Western United pack their bags to head to their home away from home, the 37-year-old was excited about returning to Northern Tasmania.
"It is a lovely playing surface, I think it suits how we want to play football down to a tee," he said.
"We certainly don't take these games for granted, we want to take as much as we can down there to help grow the game.
"If I can give back and help put a smile on a Tassie kid's face that is fine by me."
With the current season representing the final year of the two-year deal between the state government and United to host games in the state, much interest will surround the crowd figures after February's attendances.
Topor-Stanley reiterated that the club saw their partnership with Tasmania as a deal with long-term potential.
"We want to foster that, we want to continue that relationship and grow it, hopefully, we can establish a fan base that supports us," he said.
"We are still a growing club so we are still looking to grow our fans and our membership so we're excited to get down there and engage with the fans.
"That's something we don't take for granted, and hopefully we can go there and play some good football."
The fixtures on April 16 and April 19 shape as pivotal junctures in United's season as they sit second in the league behind Melbourne City with an eight-point gap.
John Aloisi's side has three games in hand over the league leaders in the pursuit of the minor premiership in just their second season of competitive action.
