The two sides are the only remaining unbeaten sides in the Women's Super League after both enjoyed consecutive wins to start their season.
United had the bye last week though it mattered little as the round was postponed due to the impact of COVID-19 across the league.
However, the Launceston side have had an ideal start to a campaign which some believe could have them challenging for the title.
United opened with a comfortable 3-1 victory at home over Clarence Zebra while they repeated the dose against South Hobart in round two.
After their last successful away trip down to South Hobart, United's co-coach Frank Compton believes the squad will relish the trip to Valley Road.
"We were really keen to follow up the South Hobart performance and the result so now it's a real chance to bounce back to league action and hopefully go and get another three points."
"I think there's always the benefits of home comforts and obviously you get to the ground a little bit later but an away day, I have always felt and the girls have felt it as well, it brings the squad together.
"Even if it is only an hour up the road, it's still an away trip ... it's always a decent pitch at Valley Road, always a good atmosphere and they are a formidable opponent, we had very good games against them last year and we anticipate another one coming."
United's defence will be in for a stern test against the Strikers who have bagged 10 goals to start their campaign.
After edging a tight game in the opening round 3-2 against Kingborough, the Strikers piled on the goals against Taroona 7-0 to bolster the stat line.
The Strikers have also been strong at the back with a clean sheet against Taroona and conceding a brace against Kingborough.
"Devonport have been an attacking threat for both seasons that they've been in the Super League so far," Compton said.
"We've known about them from the Northern Championship side as well so they're very, very potent.
"In Jazmin White, they've got a tried and tested goal-scorer, there's a few of the younger players coming through as well so they've very much got our respect, always have done and we tend to have exciting games against them."
White is tied with Caitlin Stalker for the league's leading goal-scorer with five goals apiece while Madison Gilpin has two for United.
