For Perth, it was a Bruno Fornaroli-led 2-0 win in windy Launnie conditions.

"Bruno is always one that leads from the front, he's always capable of scoring and he always puts his body on the line and works hard for the team," coach Richard Garcia said.

"That's something that we are trying to continue with, I thought Andy Keogh also did that when he came on as well and really inspired the team.

"It's something that we want from our strikers, that they are good at going both ways, not just in attack but in defence."

The 7.55pm fixture marks the middle game of their Launceston stay, training at Prospect and Windsor Park during their time.

"We've felt so welcome coming here, not only in the hotel but around the streets and everywhere we go people ask us what's going on ... we've had a great time so far," Garcia said.

"It's a big thanks to the Tasmanian Government for helping to put us up here and play some home games.

"We've got obviously this fantastic training area to train as well and everyone's just been so helpful to help us settle in here."

Sunday's win saw Perth climb to ninth on the table, still behind Macarthur in fifth, with Garcia praising his opposing coach Ante Milicic

"They've had a good start to the season and have been travelling really well.

"They are a tough team, they've got a lot of attacking threats, which we've got to be wary of - they are well coached.

"I feel like it's going to be a tough game, but again, this is our home game and we want to make it as such and really push hard for the three points."

Milicic, whose side snapped a five-game winless streak with a 4-1 win over Adelaide, handballed the compliments straight back.

"They are another team that's had an extended break, longer than what they've wanted and being away from Perth has been tough, but at the same time, they are a resilient group," the Macarthur FC coach said.

"Their last two performances have been very good, they had a convincing win over Brisbane, so we know it's going to be a difficult game for us."

Wednesday's game will be a quick visit to Tasmania for the Bulls as they fly in and out on the day, a situation that Milicic described as "unique".

The coach has visited UTAS Stadium once previously as a scout almost a decade ago, with his side coming back to Launceston in April to face Western United.

"Hopefully with the schedule allowing us we can spend a couple of nights there as well," he said.

"We are looking forward to that, I think it's very important for the game to grow in this country, that we get to all these different cities in Australia.

"It's a good opportunity as well for the locals to come out, especially for the kids to see it is football at the highest level in this country and you can always learn something."
