The Sassafras business, which is owned by Brielle and Vonda Mason, has been working on its wine list for a number of years and front of house manager Mitchell Berwick said the range on offer had grown over the years.
"When I started here, we had 10 different sparkling wines and now have a wine list of 100 bottles plus," Mr Berwick said.
"We have been curating a wine list for five or six years, which includes a mixture of current and back vintage wines.
"We are lucky enough to be a finalist.
"It's reward for the hard work over a number of years.
"We are catering for all demographics, not to mention the selection of beers, spirits and non-alcoholic options that are all Tasmanian made."
Mr Berwick explained what the recognition meant for the company.
"We are coming to the end of the day-to-day stuff and closing in October, so this is the icing on the cake before the next chapter begins," Mr Berwick said.
"This is not just for us but it shows how far the wine industry has come.
"Wine makers have done all the hard work and we have become a finalist because of this as well as we showcase their wines on our shelves."

Presented by Wine Tasmania, The Tasmanian Wine List of the Year awards are in their fourth year and they recognise and champion Tasmanian businesses supporting the state's outstanding wines.
The awards night includes a Judges' Choice, People's Choice and an award for businesses in rural areas, all of which Mr Berwick has his eye on.
"The award for businesses in rural areas is made for us," he said.
"Fingers crossed we take that out and a couple of others as well."
When asked how it felt to be among the other finalists, Mr Berwick said it was "special".
"Black Cow Bistro and Stillwater are among the big names in our industry and is it something very special to be named alongside them," Mr Berwick said.
"I think we are right up there with them, even though we have a different dining style to them.
"We're happy to be to be in that position and it is nice to be considered."
Voting is now open for the People's Choice award and by voting you will go into the draw to win 12 bottles of premium wine from across the state.
Voting closes on October 18.
