Education Department finishes inquiry into handling of sexual abuse allegations; victim wants report released

A victim of paedophile teacher Anthony LeClerc on King Island in the 1980s wants the Education Department's independent report released now, rather than through the Commission of Inquiry.

The Education Department has completed an independent inquiry into its handling of sexual abuse claims in schools, but its findings and recommendations could only be released as part of the Commission of Inquiry process.
