Cavaliers defender Hannah Lenthall played for the Hawks in 2020, before joining the green and black this season.
"It's been really good, they've been including me in everything," the 19-year-old said.
"I just thought it was time for a change this year because I'd been with the Hawks since under-14s.
"Considering I already knew everyone before, it was a really easy transition."
Former Cavs 19-and-under attacker Courtney Treloar, on the other hand, signed on with the Hawks mid-season after their star attacker and captain Danni Pickett had her season cut short with a ruptured Achilles.
"The Hawks have been really good," Treloar said.
"They've all been so inclusive, and the way they play is a completely different experience.
"Shooting with Ash [Mawer] is just something I'm not used to. Usually it's me being that tall holding shooter."
As well as Mawer, Treloar said mid-courter Steph Walker played a huge role in helping the 20-year-old adjust to her new club.
"She's [Walker] one of the most underrated players," Treloar said.
"She does a lot that goes unnoticed, but she just gels everything together and plays amazing every single week in and out."

As for Lenthall, she said fellow defender Shannae Heazlewood has helped her acclimatise.
"She's played a massive role in how I've played in Cavs," Lenthall said.
"She's taken me aside and helped me throughout in playing their defence and how it works.
"The coaches Dan [Roden] and Danni [Carstens] have helped me a lot, we've had heaps of individual meetings about what my role is which really helped me."
The Hawks and Cavs will face-off on Saturday at the Silverdome at 6pm. The winner will move on to the grand final at the same venue, while the loser will play either the Arrows or Waratah in an elimination final.
Treloar's mindset for the game was simple: come away with the win.
"You couldn't ask for anything more," she said.
"It's good to get a win no matter what, but getting one against your old team it's a good feeling."
While the Hawks have won two and drawn the third match against the Cavs this season, Lenthall said she had a feeling her team had what it took to pull off an upset this weekend.
"We've prepared as much as we can so I'm feeling really positive about this weekend," she said.
