Mr Brooks did not appear in Redcliffe Magistrates Court on a raft of charges on Thursday morning, but was represented by his lawyer Brendon Beavon who submitted his intentions.
Mr Brooks, who stood once again for Parliament in the May election, will plead not guilty to various charges of possessing tainted property including possession of credit cards, drivers licences, USB sticks, and a fake police badge.
Mr Beavon said a brief of evidence would be sought from the prosecution on the tainted property charges and one charge of breaching bail.
The prosecution withdrew a charge under Queensland's Criminal Code of obtaining or dealing with identity documents.
Mr Brooks was elected to Parliament in the May election, but it was announced by Premier Peter Gutwein on the day polls were declared in Braddon that he would resign from his seat.
This triggered a recount and saw Felix Ellis re-elected.
