On the last day of evidence in the trial of Simon John Dennison and David Allan Williams in the Supreme Court in Burnie, alleged victim Christopher Green told the jury he fought back with an array of living room items.
Mr Williams and Mr Dennison have each pleaded not guilty to charges of aggravated burglary and assault for the alleged August 2017 attack.

The guitar, "50 or 60 years old", disintegrated during the fray, Mr Green said.
The pool cue, after being used to strike Mr Dennison to the head and body about three times, snapped when it struck the ceiling, he told the jury.
And the didgeridoo, split in half by repeated blows to an alleged assailant, was launched down the street in an attempt to attract passing police, the court heard.
Despite the fragility of his arsenal, Mr Green told the court he, his 14-year-old son and two women were able to force Mr Dennison and Mr Williams back out through the front door of his Terrylands apartment.
He claimed a blow to the face by the blockbuster, which he said Mr Dennison carried, dislodged teeth and caused other facial injuries.
Reading an agreed fact after the evidence, Crown prosecutor Yolanda Prenc told the court Mr Green presented to the North West Regional Hospital on the night in question and told the triage nurse he had been assaulted with a sledgehammer, but left again before he was seen by a doctor.
During cross examination, defence lawyer Julia Ker suggested to Mr Green that he actually invited Mr Dennison and Mr Williams into his home before instigating the violence, which he denied, saying he was acting in self-defence.
Ms Ker said the blockbuster was initially left outside the front door, which Mr Green also denied.
Neither accused chose to give evidence in their own defence in the trial, and following closing statements the jury is expected to retire to consider its verdict on Tuesday morning.
