"To have so many people in Northern Tasmania support you in an election, I'm really grateful for the support I've received," she said.
"Being an elected representative is a really unique experience - while there are times where it can be very challenging, it's an incredibly rewarding opportunity to be able to serve your community.
"At times there are difficult decisions that need to be made, but ultimately being able to serve your community is the greatest honour".

Ms Courtney said she enjoyed the election process, being able to spend more time out in the community speaking with constituents.
"As I embark on this term, I'm really looking forward to continuing to engage with community groups, organisations and individuals to understand their challenges, but also understand the opportunities we have in the region," she said.
Ms Courtney currently holds extensive ministries - including health; strategic growth; small business, hospitality and events; while also being Minister for Women.
She described each of the portfolios she had served under as an "immense privilege", which had provided an opportunity to better the lives of Tasmanians.
"When the Premier chooses his cabinet, I very much hope that I'll be a part of that, and any way I am asked to serve I'll do so," she said.
"I think Minister for Women is such an important role in our community, however ultimately that is a matter for the Premier - but I have been excited about how much funding we've secured in recent budgets to be able to initiate projects to see more women be able to participate in employment in some of those non-traditional areas, and I'm really excited about the partnerships we've formed with a number of organisations."
Ms Courtney said that in her next term in parliament, she wanted to focus on improving the lives of as many Tasmanians as possible.
"I want to make sure that every day I work hard to better the lives of Tasmanians living in our community, and I want to make sure that every time I go to bed at night I can be proud of how I've conducted myself and how hard I've worked to serve the people of northern Tasmania," she said.
