A woman who told a magistrate that she had "one too many knock off drinks" raised the ire of a Launceston Magistrate on Wednesday.

Casey Louise Tonks pleaded guilty to a count of driving a motor vehicle while exceeding 0.05, driving without a licence and using an unregistered motor vehicle on January 16.
Police prosecutor Natalie Clark told the court police had stopped Tonks in Wellington St about 11.20pm and found she did not have a licence.

Tonks underwent a breath test which recorded a level of 0.126 but opted for a blood test at the LGH which recorded a level of 0.141.
In discussions during sentencing by Magistrate Ken Stanton Tonks stated that she had consumed one too many knock off drinks after working at Irish Murphy's.
"Ms Tonks you had many too many, you were almost three times the legal limit," he said.
"This a serious matter.
"You have pleaded guilty but your justification indicates that you do not have the insight necessary to claim remorse."
Mr Stanton fined Tonks $1000 and disqualified her from driving for eight months.
