Big-hitting keeper-batter Rachel Priest and Tasmania's youngest-ever debutant Amy Smith make up Salliann Briggs' 15-player squad as the Tigers press to improve on last season's sixth-placed WNCL finish.
Having represented the White Ferns 160 times and most recently at this year's T20 World Cup, Priest's signing coincides with her international retirement.
"After having been involved in the White Ferns environment for 13 years, most of it enjoyable, it is with much consideration that I have decided to retire from international cricket," the left-hander said.
"I am really looking forward to the next chapter of my cricketing journey with Cricket Tasmania and the Tigers program, and feel very fortunate to be given the opportunity.
"I hope to use my experience to enhance the team environment on and off the field."

New Town leg-spinner Smith will be the fifth homegrown talent on Tasmania's books for this season.
Named young female player of the year the last two seasons, the Ogilvie High School student said she was "very excited" to be offered a contract after making her debut in February last year.
"I got the call on Friday night and was very surprised at being told I'd received a contract," Smith said.
"A Tigers contract means a lot to me.
"I've always wanted to play professional cricket and I think this is a great learning opportunity for me to develop my game.
"I'm looking forward to being around a lot of great players and coaches who know the game well, they'll help me develop my skills on the field and I know it'll help me grow a lot as a person.
"I'll take any opportunity that comes my way, and I'm eager to learn as much as I can to support the team."
