Sunday was the first time George Street has had a taste of what the festival had to offer.
Festival organiser Marcel Ritchie said the event got lucky with the day's good weather and it had had a positive effect.
"I think it] may be a little bit bigger this year," he said.
"Because when I walk through the restaurants too, everyone's packed.
"So it's been good for the stall holders on the street and really good for the businesses that are part of the street and that's what it's all about."
IN OTHER NEWS:
From 12pm the street was lined with food stalls, serving gelato, coffee and garlic bread, Ferraris and a stage hosting live music from Paterson Street to Brisbane Street until 5pm.
Mr Ritchie said it had been an amazing day and everyone was very happy with how it had gone.
"We had people here really ready to have a good time," he said.
"The food stalls have been packed and most are starting to run out of food."
