Under the new agreement, the council will provide annual funding of $121,000. NTDC has requested the council continues to fund the population attraction coordinator position, which is an additional $21,000 above the base contribution.
"It is considered that the population work is vital for our region and should be supported," the council said.
The $142,000 contribution has been included in the 2020/21 budget. The council is recommended to approve the proposal.
The meeting will be held on Thursday from 1pm at the Town Hall.
