Premier Peter Gutwein and Sport Minister Jane Howlett, along with AFL Taskforce chairman Brett Godfrey and taskforce member Errol Stewart will discuss the business case findings at UTAS Stadium.
IN OTHER NEWS:
It's being reported that the document recommends a prospective team be based in Hobart and split its home games between the state capital and Launceston, with the suggestion that a new boutique stadium be built at Hobart's Macquarie Point.
The report's release follows AFL boss Gillon McLachlan's comment on radio earlier this week that it wasn't likely Tasmania would have a team in the competition by 2025.
The taskforce has reportedly found that 2025 would be the earliest a Tasmanian team could be fielded in the AFL.
Membership of the taskforce also includes football great Nick Riewoldt and former Woolworths boss Grant O'Brien.
