Graham John Enniss, of Smithton, is charged with one count of escape, one count of burglary and two counts of stealing.
Enniss allegedly escaped from Risdon Prison's minimum security wing on September 23, 2019.
He was apprehended by police one kilometre from the jail the following day.
Police allege during his escape Enniss committed burglary of premises in Risdon Vale where he stole supplies, including food, clothing and equipment.
Appearing in the Hobart Magistrates Court via video link on Wednesday, Enniss' matter was adjourned for a third time with Magistrate Robert Webster saying he expected the matter would be resolved on the next occasion.
He is scheduled to reappear on February 7 at 2.15pm.
