A man received serious but non-life threatening injuries to his hand during a wounding incident in the state's South.

About 4pm on Friday, police were called to a wounding incident at a private residence at Dulcot.
The victim was taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital for assessment and further treatment.
IN OTHER NEWS:
The alleged offender presented himself to nearby police. He was taken to the Hobart City Police Station and assisted police with their inquiries.
He was later charged and bailed.
Tasmania Police said the incident arose from a dispute between the pair, who are known to each other.
Officers from uniform, forensic and CIB attended and examined the scene. Investigations are continuing.
