Tim Crawford and Damien Jillett were brought into the side four days before Christmas, but the inclusions could not prevent a one-run loss.
"We have had some issues go on within the club," Swans captain Sean Barry said.
"We have had a bit of player turnover in the middle of the season that is not ideal.
"Hopefully with the break, it gives us bit of a clean slate."
Big-name recruits Ramesh Nimantha and Tharushan Iddamalgoda have returned to Sri Lanka, Ian Labrooy has switched to ACL while Amal Ranawaka has quit the club.
Barry admitted the losses will "hurt the side quite a bit", but would be all for the best.
"Hopefully it will help with a bit of team chemistry," he said. "As much as two of them were great players, it wasn't working for us as we hoped."
Beaconsfield will travel to Hadspen in a massive test.
The Chieftains will remain unchanged from 21 days ago and captain Liam Reynolds will just focus on extending their top-two buffer on the Premier League table.
"It will be good just to get back into it," Reynolds said.
"I think we have a full list to choose from. We just want to get our momentum back."
Trevallyn picked the pace back up in its performance last start over Beaconsfield.
The tight win threw open two spots inside the top four.
"We're six points out of the four, which is very interesting considering we haven't had the best start to our year," captain James Whiteley said.
"If we win this, we are very much in the hunt for finals."
Trevallyn will gain batter Daniel Kirk and legspinner Clayde White against Perth.
The inclusions for Perth are more than just Saturday.
Demons captain John Hayes said full commitment from the squad that includes a returning Keelan Beattie should lead to wins in 2020.
"It was a bit demoralising not winning a game before Christmas, even though we got close in the last round, but no wins on the board is just not ideal," Hayes said.
Longford coach Josh Adams cannot fault the end of 2019 in an undefeated run.
The Tigers will continue without Max Magann and Hayden Scott, but gaining Jason Snare and Brett Martin.
"We had sort of said to ourselves at the start of the year we'd split our season into two halves," Adams said.
"We've started off very well and put ourselves into a good position and it's about building again now to the finals."
ACL is set to lose Deepak Singh for Cameron Martin.
Captain John Kedey said the Bluebacks, yet to beat the top three, need a big scalp.
"If there is ever a time to play Longford, it's probably this game straight after the break, so we can say we're looking forward to the challenge straight up," he said.
