Fresh off aggressive South African left-hander David Miller joining the side to cover the loss of Englishman Jofra Archer, the duo have signed less than a month before the Hurricanes' first fixture against Sydney Sixers in Alice Springs on December 20.
Originally from Victoria, Rose started his BBL career at the Melbourne Stars in BBL02 before a shift to the Hurricanes in BBL05, where he has remained a cult favourite ever since.

Adored by fans for his variety of haircuts and exuberant personality, the bespectacled 30-year-old has also proven to be one of the club's most reliable bowlers - claiming 18 wickets at a low economy of 7.92 during his time in purple.
Describing the spinner as a "lively member of the team", Cricket Tasmania's general manager of high performance Simon Insley is pleased to have Rose on board once again.
"His charismatic nature is reflected in ability as a left-arm orthodox bowler and tail-end batsman. We look forward to seeing what he has in place for us this season," he said.
While Rose has re-signed with the squad, Ellis joins the BBL for the first time after making the move from New South Wales in 2017.
A member of the Hurricanes' squad for the Abu Dhabi T20 tournament in October last year, the 25-year-old signs with the main outfit off the back of an impressive start to the season.
Ellis took 12 wickets at an average of 22.58 in Tasmania's one-day cup campaign including his maiden five-wicket haul against his home state, earning himself selection in cricket.com.au's team of the tournament.
Insley sang the praises of the fast bowler, who has also been impressing in Cricket Tasmania's Premier League, collecting 9-30 for Lindisfarne earlier this month.
"We believe that Nathan will be a fantastic addition to the Hurricanes' squad. He has earned the right to a contract through performance at all levels of cricket in the past 12 months," Insley said.
"He is a team player, with a great attitude and his high skill level has been demonstrated in his current season's performance. His left arm spin skill set complements our squad nicely."
The Hurricanes visit Launceston for clashes on December 30 and January 19.
