The pair activated their EPIRBs About 3pm on Saturday, a ranger found the pair about 6.30pm and took them to a hut where they stayed the night.
The walkers were airlifted back to Cradle Mountain about midday on Sunday.

No parties suffered injuries or required medical attention, despite the treacherous conditions, Tasmania Police said.
"It was fortunate that another party of two, well prepared bushwalkers completing the Overland Track, were able to offer support and shelter for the other party of two until assistance arrived," police said.
"The supporting party remain in the area and intend to continue their walk tomorrow."
Tasmania Police urged walkers to be prepared for continuously changing weather conditions.
There are changes to the start of the track with the temporary closure of Waterfall Valley Hut.
