The former nurse was due to appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court on Tuesday, charged with maintain sexual relationship with young person, eight counts of indecent assault, involve person under 18 years in production of child exploitation material, distribution of child exploitation material, producing child exploitation material and possess child exploitation material.
Defence lawyer Grant Tucker told the court there was no need to call his client because he was dead.
The charges were withdrawn by the prosecutor and Magistrate Ken Stanton dismissed the complaint.
