For the second day in a row, chasing down a target did not deliver the Tigers the victory against Queensland.
After falling 16 runs short of passing 194 against Western Australia, the odds had plummeted further to pass 240 against the hosts.
Longford offspinner Sasha Moloney spun the ball well, grabbing 4-37 off 7.5 overs that included the key wicket of former Tigers teammate Georgia Redmayne for 20.
The spell would help reel in Queensland from 2-125 in the 18th over after Laura Harris was stumped for 51 off 30 balls by Riverside keeper Emma Manix-Geeves.
Josie Dooley, who edged a ball to Manix-Geeves off Moloney, still kept the scoreboard clicking over following a timely 45 from 61 balls.
Tigers pair Maisy Gibson and Samantha Bates finished with three wickets apiece.

Much like Sunday's loss, the Tasmanian batters made a start but failed to press on.
There was no heroics from Corrinne Hall following her first fifty of the season.
Tasmania's top-order all but collapsed to be 5-55 after Maloney was out for nine.
Launceston opener Meg Phillips was gone early for 12 first ball into the fourth over.
Captain Brooke Hepburn top-scored with 25 and Erin Fazakerley added 22, but once the pair were dismissed so was the Tigers' brief hopes.
Hepburn's wicket started a collapse, crumbling to lose 4-9 towards the 101-run loss.
