Three people have been charged following the alleged armed robbery of a 75-year-old South Launceston man on Saturday night.

Tasmania Police said a 51-year-old man and 37-year-old woman from Newnham and a 21-year-old Rocherlea man would face an out of hours Launceston court over the incident.
Police will allege the individuals attended the Heather Street residence about 8.45pm armed with a firearm, and a confrontation took place where the 75-year-old was assaulted and property was stolen before the trio left the residence.
The 75-year-old man remains in a stable condition at the Launceston General Hospital.
Police are asking for witnesses with information about a gold Nissan Pulsar in Heather Street, Launceston between 8.30pm and 9.15pm on Saturday, or in the area of Morris Street, Prospect between 7pm and 10pm on Saturday.
