Tasmania Police has charged a 16-year-old boy from Rocherlea with arson in the wake of a deliberately house fire on Cupania Street on Wednesday morning.

Investigations for Wednesday's house fire and other deliberately lit house fires on Cupania Street are ongoing, with police believing other people to be involved.
The alleged arsonist was granted bail and will appear before the Launceston Youth Justice Court May 2.
