Issues with Telstra customers sending iMessages and using FaceTime are “being resolved”.
Telstra confirmed on its website it had worked with Apple and “services are now being progressively being restored”.
EARLIER:
Frustrated Telstra customers have taken to social media to complain about their messages not getting through.
Telstra confirmed on Twitter on Wednesday morning there was an issue with both the Apple iMessage function as well as Facetime.
”You can continue to send and receive SMS messages,” Telstra said.
But one user tweeted he couldn’t SMS either and another questioned whether customers would be charged for sending text messages, when they would normally be able to access the iMessage function, which uses internet data.
Telstra has not confirmed when the problem will be fixed.
