Launceston Mayor Albert van Zetten expressed his sympathies to all those affected by the fires.
"They will have an enormous job to do in coming weeks and months and we will be ready to offer help should it be required,'' he said.
"We will be accepting donations of items that we can auction at the event from Monday morning, and hope that our local retailers and business identities will be able to dig deep and donate some great prizes, auction items and in fact any items suitable for fundraising."
Launceston alderman Danny Gibson is organising the event with all proceeds being managed through Rotary Tasmania.
Tickets to the event will go on sale from the Princess Theatre on Tuesday morning.
Anyone who would like to donate items or offer support to the event can contact alderman Gibson on 0407 096 597.
More details of the event will be announced soon.
