Ethan, of Bagdad, and Drew, of Launceston, both turn 12 today - on the 12-12-12.
The pair met in Launceston after Ethan launched a campaign on the internet, in the media and through Premier Lara Giddings to track down other children who shared the same birthday.
``I started a Facebook and Twitter page, asked around my school, had the Premier supporting me and her media adviser helping out where he could,'' Ethan said.
``From that I found out two people from my own school had the same birthday, I got a Facebook message from another person in America and the Bureau of Statistics is also interested, they've been in touch.''
With the campaign reaching its end, Ethan said he was happy with the response he had received.
``I'm just happy to find anyone turning 12 on the same day, because it's the last time it will happen for 100 years . . . I feel pretty unique,'' he said.
