Fresh off claiming the WNCL title for the first time in their history, the Tasmania Tigers are excited about their young squad heading into next summer.
Cricket Tasmania chief executive Dominic Baker identified Greater Northern Raiders and South Launceston all-rounder Curtis as one of the program's brightest talents.
"The under-19s are on at the moment and great to see people like Ava Curtis, Melodie Armstrong ... to stand up and represent the state really well," he said.
"They are the future for Tassie ... they'll be [Salliann Beams'] projects."
Curtis recently competed at the national championships with Tasmania and was a squad member during the Hobart Hurricanes' WBBL campaign last year.
Curtis was a key part of the Knights' first-grade grand final win over Riverside where she led her side's scoring with 42 not out off 43 balls including three boundaries.
Baker also confirmed that Cricket Tasmania was working with Beams to continue her tenure with the WNCL and Hurricanes' women's programs.
Part of that is the work underlined in the organisation's Journey 25 plan which centres on the development and success of Cricket Tasmania's women's program.
"We've had discussions with Sal and I'd be very confident that Sal will remain our coach," he said.
"There's nothing official yet but she's a wonderful coach and just because we got the trophy this year doesn't mean the journey is finished there.
"I think the silverware actually came a year early but we've got 100 per cent faith in Sal to take that program through to 2025 and not just win silverware but develop young female athletes for Tasmania as well."
