The 28-year-old's 7-41 in the first innings of the Cricket North grand final victory over Launceston were his best figures in an exhausting campaign which began back in early October.
It was enough to see the Westbury paceman named player of the match as his side won by 162 runs.
"It was a long three days with ebbs and flows along the way," Chapman said.
"We were 3-29 on the first day and then to come back and post 260 was a really good effort in tricky conditions I thought. A couple of really good partnerships at the top from Joey Griffin and Daniel Murfet got us to a competitive score and then to bowl them out for 140-odd was a really good effort and a credit to our guys."
Reflecting on a season which also yielded silverware with the Greater Northern Raiders and a match with the Tasmanian Second XI, the Melbourne-born former St Patrick's College student said it had been an eventful campaign.
"It's been a really enjoyable season. It's been long - I've played a lot of Saturday-Sunday cricket so it's good now to be able to just sit back and enjoy it."
Taking 19 wickets across the Cricket North and Greater Northern Cup competitions at 6.68, Chapman played pivotal roles in five showpiece deciders.
In the T20 cup he top scored with 41 before taking 2-21 to help bowl out Riverside. A month later he claimed the last four South Hobart-Sandy Bay wickets to help the Raiders to their first silverware in the CTPL T20 final.
The GNC final yielded 5-21 in a two-wicket win over Riverside, the Community T20 decider saw Chapman score 35 and take three catches as Hadspen won by 48 runs before the CN finale produced those season-best figures plus a first-innings knock of 38.
The ruthless right-armer was modest about his achievements and aspirations and happy to share success with his fellow Shamrocks.
"I've spent a lot of time with these boys over the last 10 or 11 years so to come back and do that again is really enjoyable and I just can't thank them enough. We emphasise the point of just enjoying each other's cricket and having fun."
Chapman took 1-61 from 20 overs for Tasmania's second XI against Victoria but downplayed further involvement on the national stage.
"I don't look that far ahead and I don't see myself as that sort of quality player. I was really surprised to get the second XI selection a few weeks back and that was just an unbelievable experience to play with those contracted players. If it comes along again, I'll just try and keep putting performances on the park.
"Next season, just much of the same. Probably go back to the Raiders, work on my craft and hopefully take a few wickets, improve my batting and see how we go from there. I'm not setting any real expectations, just want to go and work as hard as I can."
