Designed by artist Melski McVee, the mural is an 8 metre paint-by-numbers artwork displayed on the walls of Riverside Plaza.
"It's pretty much a mural in which different sections have codes on it, just like a colour by numbers colouring sheet, so you can get lots of people involved at the same time," McVee said.

"I find with these sort of community projects it's quite unique because it's creatively based."
The Curve of Nature depicts the native flora and fauna found in the Tamar Island Wetlands, including a black swan, with the students applying the first coat of paint on the mural on Wednesday.
"The kids always love being involved in the project. It's a wonderful opportunity for them to be a part of something that will be in the shopping centre for years to come," McVee said.
Students participating in the project were happy they were able to flex their creative talents in a fun way.
Grade 6 student Dasi Pan said she created her art during her free time for fun and because she enjoyed it.
"[Painting the mural has] been good so far," she said.
McVee said she loved projects such as murals because she could bring people together to create something positive.
"I find it's really important to get students and kids involved in this creative process because I know when I was younger there weren't many art projects around," she said.
One of Dasi's peers, Cross Dean, said he found the creation of art relaxing.
"[Art is] fun to do at school because I get to meet new people," he said.
About 14 students were chosen to participate in the mural, all of which were selected for their love of art and passion to create something special.
Riverside Plaza marketing manager Kimberley Hogg said the students involved in the project regularly shopped at the plaza with their families.
"We are excited for the local community to see what these talented students from Riverside Primary School have created for all to see," she said.
McVee will take over from the students to finish off the work.
