Launceston-based founder Mandeep Jaiman created TaScan, an online portal leveraging 3D laser scanning technology for first responders and emergency service workers, allowing them to study vehicles and tools during training to better prepare them for critical situations.
Mr Jaiman said he credited the Born Global program for guiding him to turn his idea into a viable startup.
"The structure of Born Global allows you to pragmatically test and validate your idea and really understand the needs of your potential customers before committing to the idea, all the while being supported by industry leading mentors," he said.
Bimulous founder Andy Stuart, who also took part in the program, said it was a resource for success, with the Enterprize team helping him to set goals, attain them and keep making new ones.
"You are empowered to achieve, but guided to succeed," he said.
"While participants might not end up at their original target, the one we end up achieving is the one that we've earnt."
Applications are now open for the second round, which opens in August.
