Isaac Jess Hall, 22, pleaded guilty to several firearms' charges and injuring property on May 8, 2021.
Defence counsel Mark Doyle said the sad and bitter irony of Hall's experience was that he had shot himself in 2020 and as a result was required to wear a colostomy bag.

The friend was not there, but his mother and a young child were inside.
Mr Bonde said Hall had reacted poorly to the news of his friend's absence and the woman rang police.
Police arrived and saw through an open door Hall move from the front of the van to the back with what looked like a gun.
A search under a mattress yielded a shortened .22 Winchester rifle and forty .22 bullets.
The court heard that Hall had not slept for five days and was under the influence of methylamphetamine.
Hall was arrested and when remanded at the Launceston Reception Prison he smeared the cell with the contents of his colostomy bag.
"There was a considerable cost in cleaning the cell," Mr Bonde said.
Mr Doyle said it would have been a terrifying experience for the people involved.
He said Hal had spent much of his teenage years living on the street and had developed a fascination for guns.
Mr Doyle said Hall had recently obtained a pet dog that he "treated better than he treated himself".
The court heard Hall was also in custody for a Supreme Court matter with a sentencing hearing on Thursday, July 1.
Chief Magistrate Cath Geason backdated his three-month prison sentence to May 8, the date he was taken into custody, and suspended the remaining 39 days.
"It is very concerning that someone of your young age has gone with a rifle that is shortened and with ammunition and being under the influence of methylamphetamine to that place," she said.
She said that the charges Hall had pleaded guilty to could result in a sentence of two years prison.
"I note your record has a number of drug related and firearm offences," she said.
"It is unfortunate that you have developed an affiliation with firearms and if you are going to do that you can expect to spend significant time in custody."
Ms Geason said it was encouraging that Hall was caring for a dog which indicated he had some capability.
Hall will be sentenced on Thursday by Justice Michael Brett for chasing a youth down an Invermay street and hitting him over the head and back with a hockey stick in October 2018.
He pleaded guilty to the assault which resulted in the youth receiving a depressed skull fracture in two places and a laceration near the left temple.
An 18-second video filmed on a mobile phone by a bystander was part of the evidence.
