The Hawks will play the Kingston Blues on Saturday before battling against fourth-placed Arrows on Sunday.
Acting captain Gemma Poke said every game against the Arrows was a fierce one.
"We've always had a pretty good rivalry with Arrows especially since we were in grand finals for three years with them," she said.
"We lost to them twice - we were bridesmaids two times before we got the gold, so there's always a strong rivalry with them.
"They're strong defenders as well, we know they won't let us throw any loose balls or have a brain lapse."
Poke said the team has settled in to its new-look after handling Devon last round.
"We took a bit of a brain break on Monday and didn't train, so we had a hard hit-out on Wednesday night," she said.
"That was nice to get everything back on track with refreshed minds and ready for a long weekend."
ELSEWHERE IN SPORT:
Hawks wing defender Lydia Coote will remain out this weekend with an injured ankle, with an expectation for it to be fully healed after the three-week hiatus.
The Cavaliers, on the other hand, will face number three team Waratah before the Karana Flames this weekend.
Coming out of a bye, Cavs co-coach Dannie Carstens said it was important for her team to solidify what they've developed over the season before the long break.
"Something we've cemented is that we've got such versatility among our team on both ends of the court," she said.
"I think it's a real strength to know that when things get tough, that we've got lots of tools to draw upon."
Cavs goal attack Zoe Claridge will miss the weekend with an injured shoulder, with Deanna Wadley sliding in as starting attacker.
After the break, only seven rounds remain before the state league enters the finals.
"We'll review this period nearing the last run - what are the things we need to do?" Poke said.
"Obviously a lot of things have changed for us now with injuries so we'll look at what we need to do from there."
Carstens said this weekend stood as two opportunities for her team to hit the ground running and not take their foot off the brakes.
"Certainly entering the break, it will be about continuing to push further ahead with the things we want to achieve and not necessarily going into it to go over things we've already cemented," Carstens said.
"It's just about making gains all the time."
