Hawks coach Kellie Woolnough was confident her team could only get better.
"We're hoping to build from here," she said.
"With one round down - we looked at it as a bit of a learning phase and the second's building.
"I don't think we've put out our best on the court yet, I think our best is yet to come."

The Hawks looked to finish their home stint on a high note after a hard-fought win over Friends Arrows on Saturday.
Some solid defence in transition from Hawks defenders Lydia and Tessa Coote allowed the side to get at arm's length to the Blues in the first quarter.
But both teams made a number of errors to keep the pressure on.
Defensive pressure on all fronts continued to mount in the second period, with solid aggression from Hawks centre Jamie Symons allowing the mid-court to open up for her team.
"We sort of came off the court disappointed with our first half again which is what we felt like lacked yesterday as well," Hawks captain Danni Pickett said.
"For us now, having played everyone, it's about going back to the drawing board, seeing what consistently we want to work on.
"And I think for us it's going to be about that first half and trying to get really good starts against those teams."
Entering the third, the Hawks commanded a sizeable lead, but the Blues showed resilience in creating opportunities in transition where possible.
But eventually the hardened bodies of the Hawks were able to out-last the Blues and exhaust their defence, with shooter Ashlea Mawer setting the scoreboard on fire and extending the Hawks' lead to 27 at three-quarter-time.
In the final term, the Hawks were able to keep to their guns in Mawer and Pickett on attack to pile on to their lead.

Though the Blues did what they could to stem the tide, the Hawks were able to generate turnovers and control the pace, wind down the clock and stay undefeated.
"I'm more than happy with the team effort," Woolnough said.
"I think our defensive pressure stepped up a notch compared to yesterday and I think everyone played their role which is what we're looking for."
The league will take a week off before returning in the latter half of May.
Pickett said communication between zones was one point of emphasis the Hawks planned to work on during their one-week hiatus.
"I think we pinpointed that was something we want to work on and then we go out on court and get lost in the game," she said.
"So, for us it's about communication, connecting with each other and just making each other accountable throughout the whole 60 minutes.
"That's something that we'll look to improve on in the second half."
The Hawks under-19s were able to play toe-to-toe against the Blues, but a dominant second half by the latter had them winning handily 42-24.
