Waratah were able to keep pace early thanks to some crafty mismatches in their circle.
But the Cavaliers held true to their game plan, easily feeding the ball through to shooter Hayley McDougall who ran up the scoreboard.
Defender Estelle Margetts was able to disrupt Waratah's offence early in the second, stifling their scoring opportunities with only eight points scored in the second quarter.
Waratah started to tidy up their form in the final seconds of the second, able to generate turnovers and make a few handy scores.
