The 36-year-old father of two received burns to 40 per cent of his body when a fire broke out at Adams Distillery at Perth on February 9.
After being told he likely wouldn't survive his injuries, his family are now thrilled with his prognosis, with doctors describing Greg as a "walking miracle".
Greg's sister Samantha Walmsley said he was now home and recovering with his family by his side.
"Greg has come a bloody long way in such a short time," she said.
"Initially Erin [Greg's wife] was told it'd be touch and go if Greg made it home by his birthday in September."
Mr Longmore was put in an induced coma after the fire, which was caused during the gin distilling process, and has since undergone numerous skin grafts while at the Royal Hobart Hospital.
After being told he likely wouldn't be able to leave hospital before his birthday in September, Ms Walmsley said the family were told he could go home in late March.

"This was great news as the doc that first saw Greg came in couple days ago and called him a 'walking miracle'," Ms Walmsley said.
"Greg's first diagnosis was that he wouldn't make it, then at best in first couple weeks I got to 30 per cent chance of survival.
"Pretty scary to think about really, but here he is better than ever."
A GoFundMe page established by Ms Walmsley in support of Greg, his wife Erin and their two young children, has raised more than $108,000.
The fire was deemed accidental and resulted in more than $2.5 million damages to the Perth distillery.
Co-owner Adam Pinkard, who is also a paramedic and helped treat Greg immediately after the fire, said it was great to see him home.
"He has been home for two weeks and is doing all of his physio at home and is doing incredibly well," he said.
"Doctors told him he wouldn't be out of hospital until at least the middle of the year, but he is out early, which is great news."
