Epping Forest could be the site of the Midland Highway's newest cafe, with a development application currently before the Northern Midlands Council.
The site, Fairfield at 13790 Midland Highway, is proposed for a takeaway cafe, housed in a demountable shipping container.
Located on the corner of Bartons Road and the Midland Highway, driveway access would be via Bartons Road, with parking for cars and trucks.
IN OTHER NEWS:
The location is opposite the Caltex service station, and would be open from 5am to 3pm seven days a week.
A traffic impact assessment report said there were no significant safety issues, with the cafe not expected to create significantly more traffic, rather being accessed by people passing through.
No works are proposed to the church at the site.
The plan is open for public comment until February 19 via the council website.
