According to the Bureau of Meteorology, several locations recorded their highest daily rainfall since June 2016, including Wynyard (99.8mm), Devonport (67.4mm) and Liawenee (75.2mm).

Update Saturday, 10am:
Since Friday night, 80 State Emergency Service crews responded to 76 requests for assistance across the state.
Breakdown of requests by region:
- North-West: 54
- North: 9
- South: 13
The SES is today working with the Bureau of Meteorology and other emergency services to monitor elevated river flows and levels across the state.
They have warned that rising river levels could result in roads being affected by water over the coming days.
A Tasmania Fire Service aircraft will be deployed today to gather intelligence from the air.
Drivers are being urged to take care on the roads, and to be aware of increased hazards, including water and debris across roads.

The State Emergency Service responded to 52 calls for assistance in the North-West region alone, with flash flooding and water ingress due to overflowing gutters and roof issues.
The areas hardest his included Wynyard, with 18 requests for assistance and Devonport with 17.
Six requests for assistance were also made in the North, and six in the South.
As of Friday evening, more than 99 millimetres of rain had fallen at Wynyard, and more than 70 at Cradle Valley.
These are also the highest daily rainfall recorded in February at these sites.
A severe weather warning for damaging winds is expected to be downgraded on Saturday morning.
Flood warnings remain in place for the North and South Esk rivers (minor), the Meander River, and a flood watch for the North West, North and North East catchments.
As of 9am Saturday, the following roads remain closed:
- Paradise Road, Beulah - Bridge over the Minnow River is closed due to floodwaters.
- Gunns Plain Road, Gunns Plains - Closed between Lees Park and Lowana Road, Gunns Plains.

SES advises people to do the following:
- Check bom.gov.au for the latest weather forecast and warnings.
- Check that family and neighbours, especially those who are vulnerable, are aware of warnings and have a plan in place.
- Be prepared for flash-flooding.
- Clear drains and gutters of debris so they flow freely.
- Have a plan for managing pets and livestock.

In the event of heavy rainfall and flooding:
- Supervise children closely.
- Manage pets and livestock.
- Never enter or drive through floodwaters, and when driving look out for debris on roads including fallen trees and power lines.
- Report power outages to TasNetworks on 132 004.
- Listen to the ABC local radio or check www.ses.tas.gov.au for further advice.
- Call SES on 132 500 for flood and storm-related emergency assistance.
- Dial Triple Zero (000) in a life-threatening emergency.
