The Raiders (6-137) saw solid batting performances from David (67 runs off 31 balls) who collected six sixes, as well as Brodie Hayes and Will Bennett, whose partnership combined for 31 to give their side a decent total.
Raiders captain Oliver Wood said David has continued to gel well with the squad.
"He's been phenomenal ... it honestly feels like he's been part of the group all year and not just the last couple of weeks," he said.
"He's really embraced the group we've got - he has been a mentor and someone to look up to for the younger guys, he's been excellent."
But Clarence, led by the bowling of Wade Irvine (3-23), restricted many of the Raiders' usual dependables.
This included recent Mowbray addition Spencer Hayes, whose premier league honeymoon was cut short with a golden duck at the hands of Irvine.
A usually tough bowling attack was then picked apart by Clarence batters Harrison Allanby (43), Justin Galeotti (29) and Michael Jones (26) to seal the deal for the visitors.

Round 10 results:
Greater Northern 6-137 (David 67, Hayes 20, Irvine 3-23, Allanby 2-25) def by Clarence 5-138 (Allanby 43, Galeotti 29, Jones 26, Wood 2-43, Chapman 1-10, Anthes 1-25) by five wickets.
Saturday's second servings saw the Raiders get off to another admirable innings in the batting. This time it was Sam O'Mahony's turn to flex his muscles.
The Devonport batsman scored a stellar 63 runs off just 24 balls, complete with five fours and six sixes. Wood (31) and David (23) also contributed their share to a total of 8-160.
On the other side of the crease, the visiting Northerners pillaged New Town's batting.
The charge was led by Jono Chapman (4-25), but every Raider bowler had a good day, including weekend Mowbray addition Jono Jones.
"He was brilliant ... he just came in straight away and played his role - that's all we can ask of someone," Wood said.
"He's a very easy guy to captain ... he just executes and knows exactly what to do. He's a quality fellow too - exactly the kind of guy we want around the group as well."
The Bucks came close to a last-minute upset, but two quick wickets from Wood and Chapman in the 19th over ended things in the Raiders' favour.
