When Alistair Taylor and Cam Lynch tonned up in a 241-run stand earlier this year, it was the Lions' biggest partnership in more than a decade.

Last weekend middle-order pair Ben Humphrey and James Curran eclipsed that feat with a 251-run effort inside just 35 overs as Launceston recovered from 4-43 to post a mammoth 6-348.
Both right-handers completed their maiden A-grade hundreds in an eight-run win over Westbury with Humphrey eventually out for 132 off 114 and Curran making 116.

"It was a pretty big relief actually," Humphrey said.
"I've probably played 70-odd games and it's about time I made my first hundred - it was nice to get that out of the way.
"Just relief and happiness I was able to reach three figures for the first time - hopefully it's not the last time."
Signalling his intent with a four off the first ball he faced, Humphrey hit another 13 boundaries to go with four sixes in a knock that lasted 140 minutes.
While Curran reached three figures with three consecutive sixes off Joel Lloyd, Humphrey opted for a more conservative approach to the milestone.
"I spent a bit of time on 98 and 99 for a couple of overs so it was a bit nerve-racking, but most of the time I was fine," Humphrey said.
"I enjoyed batting with James - we keep things pretty light and tell a few jokes out there batting together.
"I've played a lot of games with James and coached him back in under-15s for a couple of years."

The Lions sit 11 points clear atop the Greater Northern Cup ladder and host seventh-placed Sheffield on Saturday.
Humphrey, a former Invermay Primary and Launceston Christian School student who now teaches at Norwood Primary, said the Lions were not getting ahead of themselves despite a start to the season that betters that of their last premiership year in 2010-11.
"We're pretty confident at the moment having not lost a game yet but it's only November," the 26-year-old said.
"Hopefully we'll keep rolling to the end of the season and it stays that way but we'll see how we go."
