The 38-year-old joins the Chieftains for a one-off match-up as Liam Reynolds' men haven't played a match since October 24.
"We've done a fair bit of fitness work and have treated it like a mini pre-season again," he said.
"We've played the one game so far this year, it feels like we haven't really played, so we've just been doing hard work in the nets."
The Panthers come into the clash after losing their premier league debut last week but coach Andrew Wright was pleased with their performance as they step towards the Hadspen challenge.
"The boys batted pretty well and by all reports, they bowled pretty well after the first 20, so they've got to realise she's an 80-over game, you've got to play it right to the end," he said.
A rivalry stretching back to the Northern Midlands competition will take its first premier league steps on Saturday as LONGFORD host Bracknell.
The Tigers produced a dominant 234-run win over George Town thanks to a superb innings of 135 from captain Jackson Blair with coach Josh Adams happy to be back on the park.
"We are pretty confident that if we play somewhere near our best it should be good enough but we won't be taking them lightly," he said.
Bracknell coach Dylan Semmens was also pleased with his side's bowling performance despite a 10-over lapse and is keen to reignite the rivalry.
"They've built a really successful club ... it will be good to be back playing them again in the top league, they are a great club, great bunch of blokes and we are just looking to be competitive again," he said.

Another pair of neighbouring rivals in LEGANA and Trevallyn go face-to-face as James Whiteley's side attempts to go 3-0.
The Trevallyn leader said getting the win and producing a strong start was an expectation of the side.
"We always enjoy playing out on their ground, it's not one of the biggest grounds going around so our batsmen seem to enjoy being out there," he said.
"They've got some dangerous players and some players who can take the game away from you, so we are looking forward to the challenge."
Whiteley, Drew Clark, Louis Bordin all return while Garth Burley, Wayne Ford and Jay Willis make way as the Durhams make two changes - Aaron Dusautoy and Sam Hay in for Cody Kerrison and Dylan Sharman.
Coach Michael Quill was proud with how his boys battled through the middle overs last week but knows Trevallyn are a huge test.
"They'll be up there this year with the recruits they've got so it will be a good challenge and we are looking forward to it," he said.
GEORGE TOWN welcome back Sam Cooke and Joey Bodis to strengthen their bowling attack against ACL.
The Saints had a rough outing against the Tigers, who coach Jack Hill described as "the best team in the competition" but saw competitive glimpses throughout.
"I expect to be competitive for longer this week against ACL," he said.
"Unavailabilities have killed us in the first couple of weeks, which we always knew we were going to struggle but I think we've finally got it together at the moment."
The Bluebacks picked up their first win of the year against Evandale with coach Shaun Woods looking to restrict their 45 extras against a side he described as "a bit unknown".
"I haven't seen them play before, I don't even know how they play or what their players do or anything, so it's a bit of the unknown and we will just take it as it comes," he said.
"Hopefully we get the win and go 2-1 to start."
Troy Huggins will miss for the side after his match-winning knock of 65 as Matthew Oates comes back in.
