The first stage of Bowls Tasmania's return to play plan kicked off last week with informal outdoor roll-ups involving 10 people or less permitted.
Stage two will come into effect on June 15, allowing up to 20 people including volunteers and staff to participate in organised or informal competitions.
With this season's regional pennants awarded to minor premiers and state pennant finals and statewide challenges cancelled, just one 2019-20 entry remains on the Bowls Tasmania calendar heading into next season.
"The only event we have postponed is the state champion of champions which we're hoping to get completed prior to the next season commencing," Bowls Tasmania president Rebecca Van Asch said.
"The main reason for that is that the winner will compete for the national champion of champions in December.
"We're really focused on getting that event finished so we've got winners going away to play in the nationals provided everything's up and running again by December."
While bowlers wait to return to the green, Bowls Tasmania has set about undertaking a blitz of administration tasks.
Website-building and competition management systems training, accreditation and umpiring courses are keeping the bowls community with its hands full until the start of the new season in spring.
"At this stage our main focus is commencing our 2020-21 season business as usual," Van Asch said.
"That normally doesn't kick off until the start of October, so our focus is on that and we hope that things might be a bit more settled by then."
