As well as being the home of Tasmanian cricket, Bellerive is regularly used for football in winter and has hosted North Melbourne AFL matches since 2012 and four of the past 11 TSL grand finals.
Clarence Football Club, which was known as the Bellerive Football Club until 1947, has played its home games at the ground since it was constructed in 1914.
The Kangaroos will be without their home ground for games should a TSL season get under way in 2020, while North Melbourne, whose four Hobart matches were already in doubt due to the state's border restrictions, look more unlikely than ever to play in Tasmania this year.

In a statement, Cricket Tasmania said Clarence still had access to the ground for training.
"There are currently infrastructure complications at [Bellerive] that are a direct result of COVID-19, with one unfortunate impact being the inability to install Australian Rules Football goal posts for this season,"the statement read.
"Assurance has been provided by AFL Tasmania that, if they are able to fixture a 2020 season in the current climate, they are able to allocate Clarence Football Club an alternate venue to host matches.
"Cricket Tasmania has a long relationship with the Clarence Football Club, and at their request has already waived all rent for their clubrooms, change rooms and ground access at [Bellerive] dating back to March.
"Cricket Tasmania has offered and remains keen to work with the Clarence Football Club, AFL Tasmania and the Clarence City Council to find an alternate training venue for the club for this season.
"There is no endeavour by Cricket Tasmania to impact the Clarence Football Club more than is unavoidable, be it during the current global pandemic or into the future."
Clarence Football Club has been contacted for comment.
