Casual staff employed by Libraries Tasmania were stood down without pay about seven weeks ago, despite an assurance from Premier Peter Gutwein that public sector casuals would be supported amid the coronavirus crisis.

About 50 casual staff employed by Libraries Tasmania have been left high and dry for the past seven weeks, after the Department of Education stood them down without pay.
